From the humble beginnings of a tradesman who plastered and painted new homes and renovations, to rogue truck driver, to the journey which made him a ceiling artisan by falling back on the family trade craft and expanding it into a lost art form.
Having started at the age of 9, taught by his father, Jeff spent many years honing and mastering his craft. Then when the urge to leave the nest and see the world arrived, he took up the "other" love of his life, long haul trucking, and along the way managed to see the many wonders North America had to offer in its heritage and craftsmanship.
After 12 years on the highways of North America, a feeling of discontentment brought him to Newfoundland where he rekindled his passion for the once famed family trade craft. Six years of working 70 hour weeks in the residential section and another 35 a week re-sharpening his ornamental plaster skills, with a stint in Alberta tossed in for good measure, only deepened his resolve for the lost art of the masters to once again be made available.
The final result of his undying compromise of quality BEFORE quantity led to "Ceiling Master custom plasterworks and painting", opening for business in the spring of 2008. Ceiling Master offers unparalleled attention to detail in every aspect of a homes interior finish, specializing in one of a kind custom ceilings, to sculpted plasterwork, where your imagination is the only limit.
From the Victorian influenced New England states and deep south, to the colors of an arctic sunset or the beauty of a Newfoundland snow fall, are all evident in his work, captivating it, and making a house a home.
Although heavily influenced in the Renaissance period, and the men who created it, Jeff pours a bit of his own flair in each and every unique one of a kind ceiling, wall, or house he works on or creates...
